Hey Justin,
Just starting to poke at the d20 stuff. Is there a reason to start with the standard d20 SRD instead of going straight to Modern, which seems like it could be more fitting to this project? Is it harder to sell/market a modern product?
I was also checking out True20, but it seems Green Ronin requires you to buy a print license for it, costing $1,000 a year. That’s ridiculous.
Anyway, you have much more experience publishing d20 products than I. What should we be looking at? Also, what does D&D4 (and, potentially, a new SRD) coming out in 2008 mean for the product? Should we just go ahead with our own plans and adapt to the new SRD (assuming their is one) if we feel like it?
Thanks for your comments on my brainstorming so far. I’m really excited about where this is going. If you have any more thoughts on an overall premise and source of antagonism, let me know.
Best,
Jonathan
